Can you escape? Can you trust the voice in the walls?

You awaken in a mysterious, isolated facility. Your only companion is a dynamic, ever-watchful AI narrator that monitors your every move. It knows where you are. It knows what you are doing. It even knows things you cannot see. The goal is simple: solve the puzzles and escape the facility.

But in a game where the theme is "Trust no one", can you really trust the entity guiding your steps? The game was build for the Brackeys Game Jam 2026.2.

Navigate this first-person puzzle experience, interact with physics-based environments, and see if you have what it takes to beat the system and make it out.

A Note on the Jam Rules (And My Learning Journey)

I want to be completely transparent: I know Brackeys Jam 16 has a "No-AI" rule.

However, my goal for this jam was to learn how to integrate a live, real-time AI API into a game to act as a dynamic narrator (and learning Unreal...). I started on Thursday (making this in under three full days) and it was my first time finally using Unreal Engine and I think it's great. Even though I prefer writing code in text form, everything in the game was built using Blueprints, which forced me to learn a huge amount about logic, physics, and real-time API integration. I am actually not sure if the game contains AI-generated content, because it actually does not; it connects to it in real-time.

I decided to submit this because I am proud of what I learned and wanted to share the exact game I was passionate about building. I hope someone will appreciate it. Let me know what you think!

Want a strict "No-AI" experience? If you want to play without the AI to strictly adhere to the jam's rules, simply type anything invalid into the API key prompt at the start of the game. The AI will break, and you can still play through the physics puzzles and mechanics I built from scratch.

  • Customizable API Configuration: The game comes linked to my free-tier API key so you can jump right in. If my tokens run out, or if you want to use your own, you can easily paste your own API key into the game to keep the dynamic narrative flowing! Feel free to use any provider that supports OpenAI API (e.g., OpenRouter or Google Developer console provide a lot of tokens for free).

Controls (Keyboard & Mouse)

  • WASD - Move
  • Mouse - Look around
  • Left/Right Click or E - Interact
    • Short Click - Push or interact with objects
    • Long Click / Hold - Carry and manipulate physics objects
  • Spacebar - Jump
  • Shift - Sprint
  • (Note: The game currently only runs on Windows. Controller support is unmapped/untested, so keyboard and mouse are highly recommended!)

It is simple, but I love the result. I had so many ideas about how to make it better, but this is it for now. What do you think?
